Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving break! All children did an excellent job in the numbers test. Thank you to all the children who bring completed HW to everyclass.
 
Here is the homework for next sunday  ( 12/05/09)
 
1. Write Alphabets twice.
 
2. Write Numbers tees se saath ( 30 to 60 ) twice
 
3. Worksheet both sides
 
4. If possible, Finish the  last page of the Hindi Gym writing book ( the one with the fill in the blanks and a frog on the bottom)

Sunday 11/15/09

Last sunday children worked on identifying munbers in hindi. Although the kids have memorised the numbers very well, its still is a challenge to identify all the numbers. Please work with the children this week on numbers ek se tees, as they have a text next sunday.

 Combined prathama class also worked on Ganesha shloka and days of the week in Hindi

Great Progress in recognising the alphabets!! Last Sunday kids were tested in recognising and writing alphabets. Their scores/ papers did go home with them. Please make sure you go over those with your son/ daughter, also please sign and send it to next Balvihar class.
 
HW for next Sunday( Nov 15 2009)!
 
1.Write Alphabets once,
 
2. Finish the worksheet both sides.
 
3.We practiced the following Shloka in class today. Please ask your child to practice this at home. They need to memorize this.

 4. Thanks for supporting your child with the drawing project given last week. We have some very nice entries. These will be displayed at the Temple Fund Raising Dinner on Saturday.

On Sunday 11/01/09,

Kids worked on better identifying the alphabets. We have been trying to make 2 alphabet words like ghar, chal.  Both the prathama classes also worked on colors and common hindi words.

We also practiced numbers from tees se pachaas.

Great Job to the kids who do their homeworks and turn it in!

Homework Sr. Pratham- due Oct 18, 2009

Last Sunday the kids did an excellent job of writing the hindi numerals till 40- chaalis.
 
We also reviewed alphabets and made simple words with 2 alphabets – like – ghar, chal.
 
This weeks homework –
1. Parents please help the kids make 3 words taking any two alphabets ( for eg- kal, aam…)
 
2. Write 1-40 ( ek se chalis- numbers only) 1 time.
 
Please dress in Indian clothes if possible for our special Diwali Balvihar class.

Homework due on October 11th

Namaste Parents,

Last Sunday (Oct 4th) a copy of the Homework was sent home. Please have your child write the alphabets 5 times and return back next Sunday (October 11th).

I have also attached copies of study guides for Colors and Body Parts ion my email. I will give the students printed copies of the same on the 11th. Please ask them to practice these at home.

List of things to bring for Prathama

Welcome to Pratham!

Here is the list of things to bring to the class every Sunday:
1. a 3-ring binder
2. 1 subject composition book
3. Balvihar book – each student has received a complementary one from Balvihar. Please note that additional books can be ordered at the cost of $10 per book.
4. pencil, eraser and 1 coin ( earned by your son or daughter)
5. this sunday Kiran ma’m will be handing out a hindi workbook which will help the kids to write and understand the alphabets better. Kids are required to bring this book to every class .

We hope to see you on September 13th.
