Opening of Renovated BalVihar Classes: Sunday February 24, 2013
Hindu Temple and BalVihar likes to request all parents to join the community in celebration of our renovated social hall and BalVihar class rooms. Below is the planned activities for Sunday February 24, 2013.
1. Arrive at Newly Renovated Social Hall at 10:45 AM wearing Indian cloths
2. Participate in regular prayers
3. Participate in Panditji led prayer and offer flowers (Social hall & New class room)
4. Perform bhajan- Jag Mein Sundar Hein Do Naam
5. Go to their respective classes
6. Ask your parents to accompany you to see renovated classes (like open house)
7. Hindu temple is hosting Mahaprasad (lunch) as their is special prayer taking place in the temple early in the day
Reminder: Parents are encouraged to park and bring their child to social hall as this minimizes traffic issues in the parking lot.

Traffic Flow: BalVihar Parking Lot
Hindu Temple and BalVihar likes to request all parents to be careful and take precaution while they are dropping off their child at BalVihar in the morning and picking up their kid from BalVihar at noon. BalVihar also would like to ask parents to park their car in the parking lot and personally bring in their kids in the BalVihar building in the morning and then come in the BalVihar building to pick them up at noon. This will help us to maintain traffic order within parking lot at BalVihar and prevent any untoward accident.
We hope that each one of us will comply with suggested traffic guidance for the safety of our children.

BalVihar Closed: From December 23rd, to December 30th, 2012
This is to inform parents of BalVihar kids that we are closed for next two weeks (No classes between December 23 and December 30, 2012). We will have our next class on Sunday January 6th, 2013. We wish you all a very Warm and Happy New Year!!

BalVihar Joins Hindu Temple: Perform Special Prayers for Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Victims- Sunday December 16, 2012
This is to inform parents of BalVihar kids that you and your kids are encouraged to join Hindu Temple in performing special pooja (prayers) for victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.. The pooja is performed at the Hindu Temple on Sunday December 16, 2012 at noon.
Hindu Temple, BalVihar, and Indian community joins Newtown, Conn., and rest of the country in remembering the victims.

This is to inform parents of BalVihar kids that we have following activities taking place in next few weeks.
1. Diwali Article and Drawings for Deepam- Due October 24, 2012-
Description- Deepam published by Hindu Temple is seeking articles, short stories, poems, and drawings describing your thoughts, ideas on Diwali. Those articles, short stories, poems and drawings that do not get published in Deepam, they will be published here on BalVihar website.

Submit To- Your Child’s BalVihar Teacher
Submission- Articles, Short stories, and Poems are to be submitted in MS Word and Diagrams are to be submitted as .JPG files via e-mails.
2. BalVihar: Fun Day November 11, 2012
Descripton- BalVihar kids will have fun day at BalVihar to celebrate Diwali. On November 11, they will make crafts things like- Diya (lamp), drawings, etc. BalVihar will have pizza as they have hands- on fun activities.

This is to inform all BalVihar kids that we will have a shorter class day at BalVihar tomorrow Sunday October 21st, 2012. This is due to Pooja at the Temple. Below are the details for tomorrow’s class schedule:
1. On Sunday October 21st, BlaVihar will conclude by 11:30 AM.
2. If parents of BalVihar students chose to attend the pooja, they are welcome to take their own kids to the Prayer Hall after class (at 11:30 AM).

Dear Bal Vihar family,
It is with deep regret, we announce the sad demise of Mr. Sharad Mote, Ninajis husband. In honor of Mr. Mote who had touched many lives and to express our support to Ninaji and the Mote family, BalVihar will be closed this Sunday, September 9th 2012 so teachers as well as the Indian community members can attend the funeral rites to be held at 10a.m.

Our first day of BalVihar will be on Sunday, September 16, 2012.
